Views of the World Traveling Foodies: Say Sul Sul to Chez Sul Sul

Namaste, foodies!

Welcome to our first restaurant review! For this review, we went to Chez Sul Sul for lunch!

Upon arrival of this awesome diner, the exterior was well decorated with awnings, outdoor plants, and those neat neon signs.

When entering the restaurant, we were greeted politely by the host, Sai Datta.  He was able to find us a clean table in a matter of seconds.

While we waited to place our order, we looked around the diner and saw that the walls are neatly decorated. The orange colored walls complimented the tiled floors. The table we sat had a booth seats and 2 dining chairs, great for a party of four.

After deciding what we’re going to have, our waitress, Ananya Mahayana, greeted us. She was friendly and told us that Chefs Akeem and Ashly will be the ones preparing our meals. She was also eager to recommend Chef Akeem’s famous steaks and for the vegetarians, the veggie burgers and tofu dogs.

I ordered myself a veggie burger and a Fizzy Fruit Drink while Jesminder ordered a steak and a fruit punch.

Jesminder usually orders her steaks medium rare. Her steak was cooked to her expectations, so kudos to Chef Akeem for that. Not too rare and not too well done. As she ate her steak, she sensed a smoky flavor coming from it and that every bite she took, the meat was tender. On the side, there’s a salad, consisting of crunchy lettuce and juicy tomatoes. Her fruit punch was refreshing and very well made.

This is my veggie burger and Fizzy Fruit Drink. The burger was cooked perfectly medium rare, the meat and bread ratio was excellent, and the whole wheat bun was well toasted. Definitely would recommend this burger to all you vegetarians out there. The Fizzy Fruit Drink was very refreshing and it did cool me off after a hot day.

Meal Breakdown:
